1. Definitions

• "Hango," "we," "our," "us" refers to the operators of the Hango application.
• "User," "you," "your" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the App.
• "Host" refers to a User who creates and manages activities on the App.
• "Activity" refers to any event, meetup, or gathering listed on the App.
• "Participant" refers to a User who joins an Activity.

2. Eligibility

To use Hango, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the App.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information.

4. Use of the App

Hango is a platform that enables Users to discover, create, and join real-world activities hosted by other Users.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the App only for its intended purpose of discovering and participating in activities.
• Treat all Users with respect and courtesy.
• Follow the community guidelines and any rules set by Hosts.
• Provide honest and accurate information in your profile and communications.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other Users.
• Post or share offensive, obscene, discriminatory, or hateful content.
• Spam, send unsolicited messages, or engage in deceptive practices.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other Users' accounts or our systems.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or collect data from the App.
• Circumvent or interfere with security features of the App.
• Use the App to promote or facilitate the sale of illegal goods or services.
• Create Activities that are misleading, fraudulent, or dangerous.

5. Hosts & Activities

Host Responsibilities

If you create an Activity as a Host, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete details about the Activity (description, location, date, time, capacity).
• Communicate any changes or cancellations to Participants in a timely manner.
• Conduct the Activity in a safe and responsible manner.
• Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations related to the Activity.
• Not charge fees through the App unless authorised by Hango.

Participant Responsibilities

If you join an Activity as a Participant, you acknowledge that:

• Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
• You should exercise your own judgement regarding the safety and suitability of any Activity.
• You are responsible for your own well-being and belongings during an Activity.
• You should inform the Host of any relevant medical conditions or limitations.

Platform Disclaimer

• Hosts are independent Users, not employees, agents, or representatives of Hango.
• Hango does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any Activity, Host, or Participant.
• Hango is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any Activity.
• Hango is not a party to any arrangement between Hosts and Participants.

6. Community Safety & Moderation

To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, we may:

• Review and investigate reports of misconduct or violations.
• Remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.
• Warn, suspend, or permanently ban Users who engage in prohibited conduct.
• Restrict or revoke hosting privileges based on ratings, reports, or behaviour.
• Cooperate with law enforcement when required or when User safety is at risk.

Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final.

7. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you post on the App (photos, descriptions, messages).
• By posting content, you grant Hango a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute your content within the App and for promotional purposes.
• You are solely responsible for content you post and must ensure it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

8. Payments & Premium Features

If premium features or paid services are offered in the future:

• Pricing and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
• Payments will be processed through authorised third-party payment providers.
• Premium access is personal and non-transferable.
• Refund policies will be communicated at the time of purchase and will comply with applicable consumer protection laws.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.

9. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, branding, logo, source code, features, and content created by Hango, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
• The name "Hango" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• Guarantees of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
• Accuracy or reliability of any content or information on the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Hango shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
• Hango is not liable for any injuries, disputes, property damage, or losses arising from Activities.
• Hango is not liable for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any User, Host, or Participant.
• Hango is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hango, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App or participation in Activities.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.
• Content you post or share on the App.

13. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms or community guidelines.
• Conduct that harms or threatens the safety of other Users or the community.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.
• Extended inactivity (with prior notice).

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections on Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

• Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
• If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
• The courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters not subject to arbitration.

15. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with or contain links to third-party services (e.g., maps, payment providers). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. Hango is not responsible for the content, functionality, or practices of third-party services.

16. Force Majeure

Hango shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, internet outages, or cyberattacks.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hango regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
• For material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email.
• Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
